Lake Tahoe has long been known for embracing it’s four-legged residents, and our agents are no exception. Whether they’re spending a relaxing day at the beach, doing some weekend camping, or on an early morning hike, you’ll often find their canine companions by their side. In honor of the dog days of summer, our agents have shared a few dog-friendly activities that you may want to try out!
Take a swim.
There are beautiful dog-friendly beaches in Lake Tahoe that are definitely worth checking out. Just a few include; Kiva Beach on the South Shore, The north end of Zephyr Cove Beach on the East Shore, and Coon Street Beach in Kings Beach on the North Shore.

Go for a Hike.
Parts of Lake Tahoe offer lift-assisted hiking for you and your furry friend. Northstar and Squaw Valley will take you and your leashed dog up to some trails in enclosed gondola cars. Other beautiful hikes that do not require a gondola assist would be the Mount Rose Trail, Tunnel Creek Trail, Marlette Lake and Chimney Beach Loop Trail, and Galena Falls Trail to name a few.
